This is such a great idea! Don't miss out on this once a year TIME-raiser. Instead of being a fundraiser, you can pay for your art pieces in Volunteer Time! This Friday, November 10th from 7PM-11PM at the Rex. Tickets $20. . "The Timeraiser is a part volunteer fair, part silent art auction and part night on the town. Throughout the evening, participants meet with different non-profits in the room and match their skills to the organizations’ needs. Once they have made their matches, they are eligible to bid on artwork.
The big twist is rather than bid money, they bid volunteer hours on works of art they are interested in. The winning bidders then have 12 months to complete their volunteer pledge before bringing the artwork home as a reminder of their goodwill.
Once the auction is over, we announce the hours raised and then celebrate all of the contributions to the art an non-profit communities."
